THE PODCAST

About: We are Black Fanboys & Fangirls from Brooklyn New York who love all things pop culture and like our peers have out point of view on things. We believe in the Fanboy/Fangirl nation and we see how that which we love is now becoming part of the mainstream. On this page you can hear all our shows just by clicking any of the players, and agree with glee or disagree with gleeful venom. One nation under the Fanboy flag we put forth our podcast in the sea of many singing our domination with a voice of one. Tell use what you think: e-mail.

#49 On Dafixer's Isle
MP3 File
At the end of the three hour tour, what geek crap would you like to have with you on that deserted island full of natives, movie makers, intelligent monkeys, bank robbers and the occasional maverick pilot. (See what you miss when you don’t watch crappy 1960’s TV shows?) Buffy gets older (and only gets better), and Dafixer gets his goddamn Hulk trailer. Marvel loses a writer, X-Box is seeing blue, and the real Dr. Doom (not that spoiled chick from the FF movies) lays the smack down on America’s registered super heroes. Tell Kristin Kreuk she can combo kick us any time she wants, and get ready for another excellent shoe.
#48b B Movie Actors part II
MP3 File
It’s the second part of our look at B Movies and he actors who play in them. In this part we get to our listener feedback, go over some of the better trailers since the Superbowl, A shaggy man goes up against the toughest Black woman in the DC universe, new stories featuring old characters, how to handle primate on primate violence and does the movie Doomsday really rip off more movies then it imitates? Not to mention a complete list of what’s going to happen to your favorite televisions show now that the strike is over. All this and the question we’ve all been wondering – where’s my damn Hulk trailer – on the 2da Parte of the Hideout.
#48 B Movie Actors
MP3 File
Let’s talk about those wonderful and awful B-movies. We love them, we hate them, and we roll our eyes at them. Sci-Fi Network seems to live by them. Since the days of silent movies there have been . . . well, movies and B-Movies. Sometimes they are compelling, sometimes they are so cheesy you can feel you heart clogged with the roll of ever frame. On this edition of the Hideout we examine B-Movies, the actors that play in them and the Fanboys that watch them. Of course there’s also New Avengers, the end of the Marvel MMO, and some stuff on how studios profit from those more imaginative then themselves. This show’s go more jumps then you can shake a magic frog at and it ready for your listen pleasure.
#47 Generations
MP3 File
For the first 15 minutes we get all racial up in this piece as we have a message for some podcasters: Don’t let your mouths write a check you’re ass can’t cash. We’re warning you it’s a little raw but it’s only a rant and is harmful only when swallowed with the wrong chemical mix. Most of the show is dedicated to the Black fanboy generation before us as we have a group of the creators of a couple of the independent books of the 1990’s and they tell us how it was when they were growing up with comics. They remember when Marvel was new and DC didn’t have continuity. So welcome aboard as two generation bring you one interesting show.
#46 Superbowl Sunday’s Gratuitous Cheesecake
MP3 File
Shout outs to new listeners, a word to the FanNation about getting real, and more Wizard Magazine then you can shake a negative post at. Captain America gets gangsta, Countdown continues counting down and 25 women on television are counted as sexy. All this and the satanic chant for vapid college gals included too. What do you do when you’re in a rush to watch the big game but you got a show to do, you rush through it. Time for a reality check, it’s the 46th episode of our next exciting adventure.
#45 Season Finale
MP3 File
At last all the secrets are revealed, except the ones that aren't, and all your questions are answered, except the ones we don't answer. The hideout crew finds themselves surround by news, assaulted by comics and are trapped into boredom by Oscar Nominations. Actions, suspense, thrills and an interview with special guest star Mur Lafferty in the Season Finale of The Hideout.
#44 Wascally Wabbits
MP3 File
They came together on just an ordinary day in an ordinary place where they ordinarily record their ordinary show. But something was waiting for them, something terrifying, something they could not see or hear or smell. Mutant rabbits that talk, giant blue ticks that can smash the side of a building with it’s bare feet, spinach eating sailors, and monsters of the shaky cam are all part of this terrifying episode as the crew of the hideout go down horrible paths of Cartoons & Networks owned by Oprah. In a world where a talking sponge can live in a pineapple under the sea lives THE HIDEOUT. Lock your doors, hide your children, don’t look behind you and while you’re hoping it’s all just a dream give a listen to the latest exciting installment of the Hideout. (The Hideout is not responsible for loss of sleep due to getting up early Saturday Mornings to watch cartoons. Effects may vary depending on geekiness.)
#43 Continuity is Holding Us Back
MP3 File
Fight Club the musical? What about Hulk the musical? It isn’t easy being green, know what I mean? Anyway, Hulk is a sellout, TV is a wasteland, JLA down-under, IDW gets childish, & Conan coming back to the big screen (soon as the writer’s strike is over that is.) We’ve got wild and crazy gunshots, Ice Cube playing a 9th level Mohawk (he hopes), message board chatter and the worst movies of 2007, to some people. (Was Delta Farce that bad?) Lights, camera – action! It’s time for another nail biting episode of biblical proportions.
