MP3 File |
Finally the episode that is the ultimate answer to life, the universe and everything, and Ma’at celebrates a birthdays which is also the ultimate answer to life the universe and everything. What more could you want? Okay, we’ll tell you. How about we finally get around to answer the mail and the messageboard feedback, & rant about Marvel's One More Day for. . .um. . .one more day, we look for Rod Sterling to explain why we are actually looking forward to X-Men comics & wonder if Madea will cut Kirk’s captain chair in half with a chain saw. Sci-fi Anime, people who start sentences with “I know I might sound racist”, sexy Mrs. Fanboys, valiant heroes and all the stuff you’ve come to care about even if you don’t care at all. Look up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane!. .It’s. . . a frog. (A frog?) If you understand that reference then you are young enough to listen to this show. Strap on those ear buds and let’s get the party started. |

2007 41st Show Award Spectacular |
|
MP3 File |
Despite a few mic problems and having to record some parts at different times we present to you our 41ST Show Award Spectacular, were we deal out accolades in categories both familiar to all and personal to us. We hit on big events in 2007, upcoming events of 2008, the sexiest cuties and the biggest characters to give sparkling imitations of male genitalia for the year (Mohinder Suresh – we’re looking at you.) And of course the Hideout vote for the top four podcasts of 2007 and since there can be only one the best frackin’ podcast of that four. It contains thrills, it contains chills and it comes without additives or preservatives. Episode 41, present for the New Year, recorded by the New York and presented on the first day of the New Year. Let’s get busy. (oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!) |

MP3 File |
Christmas is here and we’re putting out another show for your listening pleasure. It’s Free-For-All part II and we talk about the days of our past that made us happy as Fanboys, the geek points we earned, the comics we drooled over, and more prom stories then a cat lady can tell, There’s sexbots, Boys from Hell trailers, Brits that date mass-murderers, comics, and more comics along with comics that cross the line, Christmas fanboy wishes, Viggo Mortensen naked and movies that made more money then my ex-wife will see. Get out the eggnog, finish up that carol and clean up all those present wrappers – it’s time for the 40th Episode Chrismahoniquanzica Spectacular. |

We Don't Need No Stinking Show Notes |
|
MP3 File |
Happy Chrismahonsiquanzica to all and to all a good day. Tis the day of olde X-Mas and now tis the time, to put up the first of two episodes - this ones show 39. We're to old for sugar plumbs so instead visions of well written X-Books dance in our heads. There is no topics, at least none I recall, so this episode will be a great free-for-all. That's right, there's no show notes for any to see, because presents make you broke, while talking crap is always free. So have a listen as the crew argues, laughs and shout - a Happy Chrismahonsiquanzica to all, and to all - here's the show, now I'm out. Peace. |

Dafixer's Hideout: RAW! |
|
MP3 File |
This is The Hideout – unedited, uncut, uninhibited, unchained and imaginatively unimaginable (Say that last one three times fast, we dare you.). No editing, no holding back, no hold barred. This is the hideout when the Fangirls aren’t around, when Dafixer decides to let the episode stand at it is. So, um, forgive, um, all the, um, ums that usually get, um, cleaned up with the huhs. We’ve got something to say and we say it as opposed to how shy we usually are. Not to mention we’re trying to catch up so we choose one episode not to cut in any way and this is it. So, if you’re tired of the usually tame, family oriented squeaky clean webcast then this is not one of those – and as soon as we actually do one of those we can type that with a straight face. If you offend easily, we warn you not to listen – or maybe you should because sometimes people who offend easily are a hoot. If you have a weak heart, do what the doctor said for frak sake. What ever you’re walk of life you’ll mostly wear comfortable shoes, but pt on the Bugs Bunny slippers and have a cup of your favorite Johnny Walker blend as you listen to another awesome episode of the Hideout!!! Let’s do this. |

Sexy Times 50 |
|
MP3 File |
It's the first week of December and all through the cast, we're talking Heros and Sub-Mariner - all comics and TV past. TV shows are about about to repeat, as we all dread, while crazy condom scientists want us to spray it on instead. Christian Bale plays John Conner? It must be a trick. All this while AOL picks the 50 top TV chicks. We've got news and X-Box uploads and more comics to go, so just sit back, relax and enjoy the show. |

Dafixer's Hideout - The Macros Saga |
|
MP3 File |
And when the end of the con came, so did we not rest on our buns and came together to record another show. The writer’s strike is still going on and Heroes is coming to the end but Slice of Sci-Fi still has the funniest voicemail show in podcasting and that ain’t bad. The new crop of comic book artists have step out from the FHM and Maxim pictorials and we were lucky enough to be at the Big Apple con to see it. We get to comics that extend TV series, Movies making big at the box office, why some podcast don’t understand the subtext of the context and why House of the Dead and the Wii are a marriage made in horror movie Heaven. If all dogs go to heaven do the still have to be house trained? We don’t answer that but still give you more show for the buck that a pole dancer at a Comicon. |

Hazy Shades of Fandom |
|

The new equipment is almost here so we get to use the old stuff one more time to start out the month. We speculate on how the writer’s strike will affect those monkeys writing that Shakespearian play and Smallville, how good the Rock will look with a lightening bolt across his chest, and how slow or fast Heroes will be. Video Vixens pose for playboy and don’t get a dime for their work, DC movie news in a flash and Wonder Woman doesn’t get to show off those wonder twins – at least not yet. Kyle Baker gets recognized, Indiana Jones put that crook behind bars, and Dexter gets to have his crazy sexy rehab councilor and eat it too. It’s November and the turkeys are shaking in their cooking pans, so eat, drink and be merry while listening to the latest episode. (No typing monkey was hurt in this recording.) |

October Rants Part II |
|
MP3 File |
The final part of our October Rants, and it’s is a moment too soon. We get aintitcoolnews on Smallville, talk about that warm fuzzy trick or treat nights, wonder where are all those games X-Box showed up at E3 2007, and answer some e-mail. Green Arrow comes to an end while low grossing top box office movies are just beginning (again.) Pushing Daisies continues to impress, Bionic Woman still a mess, Dexter doesn’t kill and Heroes remain the top program so far. Not to mention we pick our first Nubian of Honor and the rest is history. 1 out of 10 fake psychics predict that you’ll have a party by this time next year, until then give us a listen and don’t forget to clean up after all the guest leave. |

October Rants Part I |
|
MP3 File |
An episode so long overdue we owe money on it. But we are determined to get up to date and this is the first of the episodes we didn’t have time to edit and post until now. On this exciting episode we discuss Just Another Fanboy and have a whiney fanboy reaction to perceived change, Killah plays a Garden Hoe while reviewing 30 Days of Night in both it’s forms, we got comics, TV and even the much anticipated BEST IN PODCAST (place echo effect here.) Not to mention speed editing means this is a slightly longer show then intended. So sit back, relax and have some cake while listening to an episode from the no-so-way-back machine. |

MP3 File |
The Hideout turns 32 and we’re already at our asexual peak. We can’t find our Scaper33 (we were playing hide-n-seek and just forgot to look), but Killah is back with more horror for the child hiding under the covers in all of us. We have to make a correction and a few pre-hollows eve announcements and finally give feminist the answer they’ve been blogging for. Jack Skeleton gets the 3D treatment (again?), Harold puts on a red shirt and gets ready to sit before Denny Crane, Chitara of Thundercats gets the big screen treatment and weirdo’s everyone rejoice. The television show with all the cleavage you need to see repeats a show and is pretty darn proud of it. We manage comic reviews, got through last weeks TV, and even find time for everyone’s favorite serial killer of serial killers. Coming to you loud, clear (sorta) and sincere as Don Imus at sensitivity training in Harlem, but we promise it only laughs when you hurt. |

Weeks - Scaper33 Side |
It’s been two weeks since our last podcast because we got lazy watching all the geeky goodness television had to offer. But we’re back and it’s time to kiss those blues away (the new color is sea-foam green.) In this episode we talk about the sad state of quality in comic art, how to raise a child the Klingon way, and Ma’at Las Vegas Geek-Extravaganza. Really bad Halloween Costumes (click here to see for yourself), Tim Vigil channels Frank Frezetta, Browncoats now have a new reason to pray very hard, Knight Rider sees double with a single Cylon eye, and there’s nothing more fragile then a Herbert West zombie. All this plus the bathroom sink (we sold the kitchen’s to pay for extra cable channels) on part one of our 31st “Geek Weeks” show. |

There’s
a Killah in the house and she looks so good she just slays
us (Gratuitous Honeymooner’s reference allowed by permission
of no one in particular.) Comic Geek Speak hits 300 and those
funky Spartans hit back (they had stronger CGI abs.) The
Hideout heads to the Big Apple for a Con (wait a minute,
don’t we already live in the Big Apple?). Anywho, an
Ultimate goes to their ultimate rest, The Computer King and
Mr. Anderson predicts that the Dead Zone stinks, we announce
our first ever contest and Killah does her first ever horror
segment. We have a sellout prostitute, alternative Battlestar
schedules, invasive trailers, and knife wielding newlyweds.
Hey Ollie, is that an arrow sticking through your neck or

former alien give us a shout out. Wolverine shoots in the
winter (and isn’t arrested) and Indiana Jones finally
finds his name. Another Emmy for South Park and a new way
to play your music while drinking milk from the carton. Brad
Pitt and Ed Norton team up again and this time they can talk
about it, Tron part 2 finally gets a green light (or the
blue, depending on what side of the MPC you’re on)
and Batman pays for strippers while we figure out how many

are powered by your heart and Nicolas Cages play Tom Selleck.
.. no, that last one is not a joke. Not to mention some Segway

| Part II: In the wee hours of the mourning,
thinking we lost the first recording
we indoctrinate the female member of our crew, Skaper33, into a
onversation about the ups and downs of being a geek in a world that
thinks comics and collectables are for kids. Is it hard loving
something many people consider childish, not being able to share what
you love with family or friends? Or is it a niche thing you should
share with those who are of like mind. The debate continues in this
episode. . . |

At War With World War III |
|
MP3 File |
Part
I: Our
first technical difficulty as our computer crashes while
we were recording. (Virgins no more. Woo-WHOOO!!!) What
started as one episode morphed into two. In part one,
give our first Birthday shout out, introduce a Smurf,
go to WAR with World War III, pimp slap the dumb ending
of Hyperion Vs Nighthawk, count how poor we’re going to be
with the list of summer movies we want to see, wonder if Kevin Smith
is writing our dialogue, degenerate to the ancient Fanboy musings of
super hero genitalia. (How does the Richards marriage last,
nudge-nudge, wink-wink), whine like starving Fragles because Geek
Syndicate saw Spider-man III first and did a podcast about it we’ll
never be able to top (Darn them to heck!) Also, introducing the first
part of our discussion topic: “It Isn’t Easy Being Geek.” Lock
the
doors, hide your daughters and tell the children nothing’s
under the
bed because the Hideout is back in town with another exciting
episode. Same Bat time, same Bat channel. . . |

Introducing
Simba |
|
MP3 File |
| Due to technical problems (family stuff) the podcast is
going up a bit
on the late side. In this episode Six goes on a Birthday bar hop, we
introduce new member of the Hideout, Simba, we talk about a crap load
of news and, of course TV and comic reviews. (No movies this week.)
We give our predictions of how the Sopranos will end and if Special
Unit 2 should have more shows. Come and join us and have a little
fun.. . |

Getting A Little Serious |
|
MP3 File |
| Scotty in space, Kitt car for sale,
Spider-Man Week, and the reviews
for the comics of 4/4/2007. Geek Sydicate praises Smallville
(and the cracks of hell did open there-after.) I review
the TV shows because I’m the only one who DVRed them, we talk about trailers for Black
Sheep and Day Watch, then we answer the eternal questions: why we do
the podcast, why our theme and do we worry about offending anyone
while offending as many people as possible. It’s the 6th episode of
the Hideout and this time it’s personal – unless, of course, it isn’t. |

Back On Track |
|
MP3 File |
| Yep, our numbering system has caught up to the numbering
system of
this planet and we have an official 5th episode. This week we discuss
the ultimate trickster, M. Night Shyamalan, the comics from 4/28/2007,
The Blob as a comedy, Megan Good as Catwoman and Angelina Jolie
playing someone who grew up in a neighborhood whose only escape is rap
and basketball. . .and much, much more. Adult's only (we pretend
teenagers aren't listening), come in to the hideout and be part of
this week's conspiracy. |

The Real Episode #2 |
|
MP3 File |
| Okay, this is the forth upload but
actually what would have been our
second show if we had not decided to alter the format. I decided in
order to get teh numbering back on track I'd through this up and let
the chips fall where they may (and get the numbering back in track.
So we're calling it the second, though it will sort as the fourth and
next week we'll actually have those funky numbers down. Oh and we
discuss fanboy stuff too. |

Getting
Kawabunga on the Turtles |
|
|
MP3 Files |
Hellspawn Darkness missing in action, we take on the books
for 3/21/2007, Smallsville goes fight club, Dresden airs
a pilot several episodes after the fact and everyone hate
Baltar on Battlestar Galactica. Not to mention we Kawabunga
the Turtles. Give a listen and tell the kids it's just three
crazy fanboys. |

Not Exactly the #2nd Episode |
|
MP3 file |
| Comics shipped 3/14/2007, TV Reviews,
a real down low but low budget
way to get those new issues and videos, and we find something
six
actually likes. |

Welcome To The Hideout |
|
MP3 File |

old collectors, what's your super-power, 300 and finding
something that Six actually likes besides the violence
in 300. |
